The County Planning Commission (CPC) is holding a meeting regarding the Land Use Code Community Housing Zone District (CH Zone) this Thursday, April 4, at 12:30 PM. The meeting will be in-person at 333 W. Colorado Ave, and via Zoom.

This meeting will focus entirely on the problematic and controversial CH zone district adopted during COVID at the end of 2021 with no community input. While the CH Zone was specifically created with Diamond Ridge in mind, it has region-wide ramifications and repercussions and is included within the East End Master Plan (EEMP).
Once again, it is our time to provide thoughts about the CH Zone and get this CHoo CHoo train on the right track. It is also time to suggest constructive, intelligent, creative, win-win modifications to the Land Use Code (and EEMP) to solve regional housing issues.
Write to the County – even if it’s just a short statement to voice your concerns, and attend the meeting if you can
Public comments can be submitted to planning@sanmiguelcountyco.gov, and if received by noon on Tuesday, April 2, will be forwarded to the CPC. Any comments received after that time will not be passed to the Commissioners.
