The County Planning Commission is holding a work session regarding the East End Master Plan tomorrow, THURSDAY, 11/9, at 9:00 AM. The meeting will be conducted in person and via Zoom, and an agenda and Zoom link can be found by clicking here: 11/9 PC MEETING.
We have been told that this meeting will outline the process and timeline for the EEMP moving forward, but whether or not specific issues will be discussed, it is always an opportunity for the public to be heard. We cannot emphasize enough how important it is to attend this and any subsequent meeting on the subject, but more importantly, how important it is to voice your opinion – even if just a short statement.
Whether or not you attend the meeting, we implore you to write to the County, even if just a couple words. One simple way to do this is to enter comments into the County web portal, which can be done by clicking below:
Of if you choose an old-school e-mail form of delivery, send to the following three Planning Dept. staff addresses: kayes@sanmiguelcountyco.gov, johnh@sanmiguelcountyco.gov, nicolak@sanmiguelcountyco.gov.
To potentially help organize your thoughts, please click HERE for a partial list of key specific points that cause us great concern. Even though you are free to borrow from our list, formulating these opinions relies on foundational knowledge and understanding of a wide variety of issues, so we encourage you to dig deeper before commenting on the EEMP.
In addition, if you have not yet signed the petition letter the Last Dollar Collective has been issuing to the County on the subject of the CH Zone District being deemed applicable in any EEMP residential land use category, it ain’t over ‘til it’s over, so you can sign by clicking below:
As always, we encourage you to reach out directly to info@lastdollarcollective.com, and appreciate your engagement and support regarding these important issues.
