The joint executive session between the Town and County planned for tomorrow, March 1, to discuss the next steps on Diamond Ridge was abruptly postponed to an unknown later date. The stated reason was to allow the legal counsel and managers to become “fully aligned on the intended purpose and outcome of the joint meeting.”

We certainly support having a clearer idea of what our elected officials intend to discuss before a meeting is held and having public access to that meeting.

We thank all who sent emails to the Town and County about this ill-planned and confusing executive session. Many called for greater transparency in the process and for selling Diamond Ridge before sinking more public money into developing it, and using those funds to support new housing closer to town.

We will keep you posted on what happens next.
